Summerfields Gymnastics Club was established in 1981 and moved to its purpose built facility in 1991. We have trained and qualified staff (including First Aid) in attendance at all times. There is a variety of equipment available to suit all abilities as used in national and international competitions.
We welcome all ages through our doors. Our youngest children are accompanied by their parents and come to enjoy a safe indoor playground where they can explore and gain balance and social skills. Structured classes follow for three year olds and upward, starting with our preschool groups.
All children need some sporting activity to lead a healthy life and we offer after-school classes to suit all abilities. Some children come just one hour a week, while others train many hours in their quest to compete successfully at national level.
Some of our gymnasts have been members of the British Gymnastics National Squad and have then gone on to join the Summerfields coaching team. Thanks to the dedication of all our coaches we continue to compete at a high level.

The club's facilities include a sprung floor, a tumble strip, asymmetric bars, parallel bars, beams, rings, vaults, play equipment and a foam-filled pit. The sprung floor is ideal for kickboxing and martial arts classes as well as aerobics and pilates. The hall is available to hire (price negotiable).
In March 2007 the club was accredited with GymMark. Gaining GymMark accreditation means the club is recognised by British Gymnastics, Sport England and the Home Country Sports Councils as a safe, effective and child friendly club, providing a service in the community, that children and young people, their parents/carers, and others with an interest in gymnastics, can trust.
Summerfields Gymnastics Club is affiliated to British Gymnastics. All individual members must automatically affiliate to British Gymnastics.
